More Efficient Wind Turbine Blade Designed
By Mathew | March 27th, 2007 | Category: News | No Comments »A new wind turbine blade design that researchers at Sandia National Laboratories developed in partnership with Knight & Carver (K&C) of San Diego promises to be more efficient than current designs. It should significantly reduce the cost-of-energy (COE) of wind turbines at low-wind-speed sites.
The great news is that because they work better at lower speeds, not only are there vastly more places where they are effective, but they are also less of a problem for birds.
