A new trojan has been discovered, called BotVoice.A. This nasty piece of work locks up your PC after it infects it, so that you cannot run any programs or interact with the computer in any way. This has the effect of making it impossible for you to do anything about the infection, as you cannot use your PC.

Once thats done, the trojan uses the windows text to speech technology to say;

You have been infected I repeat you have been infected and your system files have been deleted. Sorry. Have a nice day and bye bye.

It keeps repeating this phrase while it goes about deleting all the files on your computer. Reports indicate that it is not always successful in removing all files from your computer but if you get infected, you can expect to suffer pretty serious damage and require assistance to get your PC back up and running.

The trojan spreads not via email like most modern virii do, but uses P2P networks, and is able to jump from USB drives onto PC’s.
