New trojan on its way
By Mathew | July 21st, 2008 | Category: Computer Security | No Comments »Reports are filtering in that hackers are selling custom versions of a new trojan called Limbo 2, and they are guaranteeing the trojans ability to infect and to remain undetected.
Apparently those with a criminal mind can purchase a custom version of the trojan which they then use to infect computers with a “payload”, usually designed to steal credit card or login information.
While widespread adoption of this trojan is not reported to have taken place yet, I would still urge users to be extra vigilant and be very careful about downloading files or attachments, even if they appear to come from friends or colleagues.
