Optus launch unlimited mobile plans
By Mathew | July 21st, 2008 | Category: News | No Comments »Optus have announced unlimited mobile phone plans; They are quite confusing, in that; The $99 plan can only be purchased with $15 extra to pay for data, making it $113.95; Then, the $119 plan is exactly the same but has no data included. Finally there is the $129 plan which includes 2 gig of data.
I really think they can afford to throw in more data, and I think it won’t be too long before Vodaphone or 3 decide that a simple $99 cap with unlimited everything will do just fine.
What I’d really like to see is a simplification of the plans available; Optus have a dizzying array of plans with all sorts of conditions (the iPhone has it’s own private range of plans, for example), and it’s time they were cut back and improved upon.
