Easy way to email large files

We’ve been looking for a long time for a simple solution for users to send larger files to other people via email. Actually attaching large files (>2Meg) to emails will more often than not break your email application, your email server, or cause other drama that you just don’t need.

Finally, someone has brought us a simple way to solve this problem. Go check out https://www.wetransfer.com/, and you can email your friends and colleagues files up to 2 Gig in size, all for free.

The interface is very simple, you just use the website to select the files you want to send, enter your and your recipients email addresses, add a personal note to go with it, and click send. The site uploads your data to their servers, and emails your recipient a link only they will be able to use to download the data.

Your files are only stored on the server for 2 weeks, and no public URL is availble to to get at them, so your data is quite safe; Plus, the site forces your browser to use secure communications, another great plus for these guys.

I highly reccomend it.
