Google releases Buzz via Gmail

Google have released their answer to Facebook and Twitter, called Buzz, and reactions are very mixed. I’ve taken a look at the service, which comes embedded into Gmail, and for the moment I will be turning it off, to ensure that my privacy is not unduly affected.

Cool website of the periodic table

Just found this awesome periodic table website, http://periodicvideos.com/, which has a great little video presentation on every element known. Of course, the elements that have fun qualities like the ability to cause an explosion get special treatment that should appear to most high school boys.



Scam Watch

Eagle eye’d staffer Chris pointed me to this government run website detailing all the latest cons and scams, many of which circulate via the internet. I think its worth a look for most clients, just to remind yourself that much that glitters on the internet, is anything but gold. http://www.scamwatch.gov.au

Postcode Map Website

I found this website this morning while looking for a way to see visually where postcodes are around Brisbane. http://www.australianpostcodesearch.com/ It does it wonderfully using Google Maps to overlay the Australia Post post codes over. Very useful for anyone doing area based targeted marketing.
